Photography allows me to capture those special moments in life as they occur. Later, when I review the images, I then apply my personal interpretation of the emotional impact of the experience to the final product.
I start with a basic image or composition that has attracted my attention. From this point forward the photo evolves into a more dramatic interpretation of the actual moment. The photos come alive with vibrant colors creating images that appear to cross the line of photography into the realm of imagination. There are no predefined steps or processes that I utilize, as each photo is unique and its interpretation is unique. My subjects are traditional but my interpretation impressionistic. I print my images on large canvases 36x24 because an added depth is created with the canvas and the images are more dramatic.
